DDA/Main Street Committees
Our program is designed to bring new life and activity to our downtown. To help make what we do as effective as possible, we delegate different parts of our effort to people who are most enthusiastic about different kinds of work, and foster collaboration between volunteers, merchants, city staff, partner organizations, financial supporters, and community leaders:
Three Rivers has
one of Michigan’s most intact Victorian downtowns. This committee works to make sure that its assets are well cared-for and that our street is a pleasant place to be.
Through beautification projects, safety enhancements, and providing resources to property owners for building repair and maintenance issues, this committee preserves and enhances the character of our historic downtown.

Michal Dobyns, Secretary
The Promotions Committee brings foot traffic to our downtown block! We do this through events like HarmonyFest, Sass in the City, and Christmas Around Town, as well as advertising, business promotions, and other means of getting the word out and making downtown exciting!
John Wolgamood, Chair
Kelly Timmerman, Secretary
Heather Martell, Christmas Around Town chair
Danielle Moreland, First Fridays chair
By building relationships around the community, our organization committee recruits, supports, and provides recognition to our volunteers and supporters, makes sure that we have the financial resources to make our downtown attractive, and ensures that our work, communications, and money are all allocated and used efficiently, wisely, and for the best possible results.

Economic Restructuring Committee:
This is where the redevelopment and revitalization rubber meets the road. The “EVC” works to gather and offer financial support, promotion, and technical assistance for entrepreneurs who are investing, or considering investing, in our downtown. We cmbine market research, demographics, and careful evaluation of our historic and civic assets to find and showcase the best business opportunities we have to offer – and the results are starting to show in new restaurants, drinking establishments, and shops!

Rob Vander Giessen-Reitsma, Vice-Chair
Bobbi Schoon, Secretary
