What is Main Street?

The Michigan Main Street Program is an approach used to support downtowns and traditional commercial neighborhood districts.  As part of the DDA, the Main Street program will coexist with the goals and strategies of the DDA.

Why Main Street?

The Michigan Main Street Program helps communities develop main street districts and traditional commercial neighborhoods that attract new residents and businesses, promote investment, jump-start economic growth, and create a “Sense of Place.”

What Can Main Street Do for Three Rivers?

  • Develop programs to enhance our downtown & community image
  • Develop the best use of volunteers.
  • Support existing businesses like yours through training and workshops.
  • Attract new residents to the area with the help of market studies, design, and branding services.

How Can We Make This Happen?

The DDA Board made up of local volunteers will administer the program with a full time Executive Director.

The DDA will continue to provide support and services within the entire DDA district.  Best practices learned from MMS can be utilized throughout the entire DDA.

You can choose to provide financial support, serve on a committee or choose to volunteer for single events.  It’s up to you as to how much you become involved.
